Animals behaving like humans, well that’s just funny; it’s also called Anthropomorphism. Animal cards feature heavily in our card collections and we review literally thousands of images during our product development. We often find it funny when we see animals exhibiting human behaviours or reactions that we can relate to, such as laziness, curiosity, or clumsiness. So we go out of our way to find images of our furry friends that make us laugh.
Anthropomorphism is often used as a storytelling device in literature, folklore, and popular culture, making it easier for audiences to connect with and relate to characters or elements that are not human - think of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. We use anthropomorphism in our various animal card ranges along with satire and parody, placing animals in human-like situations and poking fun at societal norms or conventions. We have a huge collection of animal cards which explore the humour in a made up alternative world where animals are in charge, highlighting their animal antics and human characteristics, along with their attitude and undoubted animal cool; it all makes for great cards which can be very funny!
