Mean Cards

Introducing the brand spanking new range of greeting cards from Icon - and they certainly are a feisty little lot. Mean Cards is an exciting new collaboration with Philadelphian artist Julianna Crisman, who, when forced to leave her job, her studio and her home within the space of a week, spent her last few dollars on art materials and spewed out her frustration and bitterness to create the meanest, edgiest range of cards ever seen.

As the name suggests, this range of cards is the antithesis of nice, but the witty captions perfectly capture the modern style of observational humour and the simplicity of the illustrations are superbly clever – who’d have thought a stick-man could convey so much expression?!

There’s 19 hand drawn illustrations with cutting messages for everyday sends and a further 8 equally wicked designs for occasions including an engagement card and new baby cards. Mean Cards have a refreshing and daring spirit, and if you’re mean enough to send them to your friends, it just goes to show how much you really love them.
